[Fashion Critiques] 2015 万千星辉颁奖典礼红地毯 TVB Anniversary Awards 2015 Red Carpet

The annual TVB Anniversary Awards took place yesterday honouring deserving artistes and gave out 15 major awards. Anthony Wong and Nancy Wu was crowned TV King and Queen for their roles in Lord of Shanghai and Ghost Relativity respectively.
What's an award ceremony without a red carpet right? So, let's check out the fashion affair that night!

Newly crowned Best Actress, Nancy Wu stuns in a heavenly ball gown from Kevolie. The fit and flare gown featured a huge cutout at the back before continuing into a fluffy tulle bottom. Perfect hair, Perfect makeup and Perfect dress! Congratz Nancy!
Natalie Tong showcases her slender figure in this gorgeous floor length creation. The gown hugged her at all the right places, and her bold red lip prevented her from being washed out. Stunning!

Pretty in Pink
Grace Chan, showed up in a stunning Vivian Luk Atelier gown. The pretty pink gown sadly overwhelms her petite figure.
Selena Lee looked lovely in a princessy gradient gown by Kevolie. One of the best dressed that night!

Safe in Black
Priscilla Wong's first attempt in black was successful, the scalloped cut top with a huge bottom nearly swallowed her, but she carried it off fairly well.
Elaine Yiu, turned heads in a daring black gown that featured a deep-v as well as a bare back. This is simplicity at its finest!

Sweetheart Ladies
Grace Wong looked edgy and punky in a bi-colored printed gown. Her deep red lips complemented the look amazingly.
Dodo Cheng was ultra glamorous in this monochrome ball gown by Dorian Ho.
Sharon Chan showed up in a fitting ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline as well as a mermaid silhouette. I'm happy she served up a gorgeous red carpet look without showing off her legs.

Classic in White
Kelly Fu's pretty hair-piece complemented her fitting white gown perfectly. Pretty!
Rosina Lam don a Grecian-like gown with a unique golden snake design and a mid slit.

Hot in Red
Jacqueline Wong showed off her busty figure in a square-cut gown.
Rachel Kan looks amazing in a fitting gown with a flared train. Love her makeup and hair too!
Elena Kong really loves red, this year's no exception as she wore a fiery red suit with matching lace bottoms. Not my thing, but she looks great!

Floral Affair
I love Jinny Ng's floral gown, especially the canary-purple color combination. Stunning!
Alice Chan was impeccably dressed in a Dorian Ho ball gown, filled with floral patterns. The statement necklace topped things off nicely.

Champagne Party
Rebecca Zhu was slightly washed out by her champagne gown, a bright lip color would have been recommended.
Eliza Sam as always, goes princessy wearing a sparkly gown with a full tulle bottom. Her retro do further completed her rather vintage look. Thumbs up!
Stephanie Ho selected something really cute and fitting for her. I simply love it, she looks ultra girly!

Frothy Concoction
Katy Kung don a fairy-like gown with a floral bodice and a dreamy tulle bottom. Her braided updo completed her look fabulously.
Vivien Yeo was extraordinary in a strapless gown with a unique feathered peplum. One of my favourite that night!

Sexy in Sheer
Linda Chung disappoints in a matronly see through gown. I've never thought I will be describing her like this one day, but the look was just tacky.
Jeannie Chan fared better, going sheer in a patterned number.
Tavia Yeung dressed true to her age and went for a sophisticated lace gown.
Ali Li's black lace creation suits her and she pulled it off well. I love the whole look, though her highlighted hair screams rebel to me.

Dark Beauty
Kristal was surprisingly tame this time round, as she always go for edgier and sheer choices. She should have switch outfits with Linda, as I think she would carry it off better.
Mandy Wong sported an off shoulder gown in a dark teal hue. I would give it a 10/10 if she had shown some effort in the hair department.
Wayne Lai and Liza Wang
Both veterans dressed event-appropriately.
Jade Leong and Ram Chiang
Jade's bold tangerine gown instantly light up the red carpet, while Ram kept it real simple with a fitted tux.
Susan Tse's ensemble looks boring, not to mention how unnessesary her voluminous hairdo is.
Kaki Leung showed up in a huge aqua mess, from the colour to the fit of the dress, nothing works here.
Sisley Choi in a gown that drastically ages her, also the fit is not there.
Owen Cheung and Samantha Ko
Owen looks nice in that navy velvet suit, while partner Samantha Ko looks frumpy in a gown that's a size too big.
Where do I even begin? Dear Cilla, please dress better next time!

  1. Thanks for the post! Nancy's gown looks elegant with glitter like a Barbie. I especially liked Katy's gown which is simple white with black flowers. Natalie Tong's dress is archaic but beautiful. I agree with Cilla that she should pick a better dress.

  3. First off, I'm a guy, so I don't know much about dress, lol But I think a lot of them looks nice, highlights being Natalie Tong, Grace Wong, Kelly Fu, Rosina Lam, Jinny Ng, Eliza Sam, Ali Li. If I have to pick one standout look, for me would be Ali Li. That style really suits her.

Oh and yes, my first time posting here. Hello! :D

  4. Love your critiques, pretty much spot on! I really like how you take the effort to comment on their fashion instead of just uploading who you think is best dressed or worst dressed with no explanation to your pick. This is much more professional and unbiased.btw I truly adore Alice and Jinny's dresses❤ Love Natalie's overall look as well!
