[Fashion Critiques] 35th Hong Kong Film Awards Red Carpet and Winners

The annually prestigious 35th Hong Kong Film Awards took place yesterday recognizing achievements in all aspects of filmmaking, especially in directing, screenwriting, acting and cinematography. 'Ten Years' sweeped a whooping seven awards with Aaron Kwok and new actress Jessie Li winning Best Actor and Actress. So, what's an awards ceremony without a red carpet right? Let's check out my best dressed list down below!

Thai actress, Poydtreechada looked amazing wearing a breathtaking Ashi Studio gown. The embroidered gown that flattered her figure featured exaggerated sleeves and a frothy bottom. A face framing updo rounded up her look.
I absolutely love this, she's definitely one of the best dressed!

Yummy mummy, Kathy Chow wowed in a jaw dropping Stello gown. The dramatic gown flaunted her figure perfectly and made her looked strikingly statuesque. Sleek straight hair and deep crimson lips completed her extraordinary look. Magnificent!
Janice Man walked the red carpet stunning crowds in a daring Versus Versace gown. This look would have scored perfect if not for a minor error, the long necklace. Bold statement earrings, glossy waves and strappy sandals completed her look. Sexy!
Queen of red carpet, Carina Lau turned heads in a frothy Atelier Versace gown with a high slit that revealed her slender legs. One might not be able to pull such a difficult piece off, but she did it with ease easily.
Miriam Yeung walked the red carpet going safe in a nude Elie Saab gown. The gown had romantic lace overlay and was styled with matching nude pumps. A swept back do and deep berry lips completed her look.
Do you like it?

I had no idea how Karena Lam  manage to win best dressed in this shapeless Dior gown. Tell me how, when there's strong competitors like Carina and Poyd.
Vivian Sung and Darren Wang walked the carpet linking arms, looking absolutely matching. Darren chose a classic black suit and styled it with brown boots. While Vivian wore a soft Alexander Mcqueen gown with a sparkly top and fluid bottom.
Fiona Sit arrived on the red carpet glowing in an olive Burberry lace number. I love Fiona, but not the gown as sheer dresses tends to put me off. I do, however like the backview.
A messy updo and rosy makeup completed her look. What are your thoughts on this look?
TVB actress, Sisley Choi walked the red carpet in a floral WeCouture gown.
Best Actress Jessie Li wore a colourful printed gown with matching loud heels. I like the creativity but she didn't carry it off well enough.
Jackie Choi in a rather pale and flowy gown that washes her out slightly.
Elaine Jin wore a rather casual outfit for an award ceremony. Her boxy top and frumpy skirt is a no from me. Aaron, as always goes classy.
Ada Choi with husband, Max Zhang
Ada wore a sparkly revealing gown from Escada, whereas Max chose a black embossed printed suit.
Tony Leung Ka Fai
Nick Cheung Ka Fai
Andy Lau
Jacky Cheung
William Feng
Louis Cheung

Angie Chiu  and Melvin Wong with son, Wesley Wong
At age 61, She definitely looks good and showcased her slender figure in this lovely pink gown.

[Fashion Critiques] 2015 国剧盛典红地毯 2015 Anhui TV Drama Awards

The annual Anhui TV Drama Awards took place last night rewarding deserving artistes. While I don't watch all the Chinese dramas this year, I do know all the celebrities present at the ceremony. What's more, the red carpet segment was such a fun to watch.

Fan Bing Bing accepted her Best Actress award wearing an exquisite Reem Acra gown. The colorful beaded gown looks absolutely regal on her. I'm not going to nitpick about her hair here when everything else is on point.
What can i say? She hardly looks bad.

Angelababy, Ni Ni, Crystal Liu and Tiffany Tang leads the fashion parade for Dior

Dior launched their latest collection recently inviting our favourite stars to showcase their brilliant creations. Dior's angels including Angelababy, Ni Ni, Crystal Liu and Tiffany Tang all showed up in the latest ensembles.

Ni Ni was hands down the only star serving up some color, her Dior two-piece ensemble was extremely flattering and unique. She pulled off the look effortlessly.
Crystal Liu was the only one donning a gown to the event, I wished she took the blazer off as it would have elevated the look so much more. What do you think?

The annual TVB Anniversary Awards took place yesterday honouring deserving artistes and gave out 15 major awards. Anthony Wong and Nancy Wu was crowned TV King and Queen for their roles in Lord of Shanghai and Ghost Relativity respectively.
What's an award ceremony without a red carpet right? So, let's check out the fashion affair that night!

Newly crowned Best Actress, Nancy Wu stuns in a heavenly ball gown from Kevolie. The fit and flare gown featured a huge cutout at the back before continuing into a fluffy tulle bottom. Perfect hair, Perfect makeup and Perfect dress! Congratz Nancy!
Natalie Tong showcases her slender figure in this gorgeous floor length creation. The gown hugged her at all the right places, and her bold red lip prevented her from being washed out. Stunning!

[Fashion Critiques] 2015 TVB Malaysia Awards Winners and Red Carpet

The annual TVB Malaysia Awards previously known as Astro On Demand successfully took place on the 28th November. With Nancy Wu and Kristal Tin tied for Best Actress, and Ruco Chan for Best Actor. Let's run through the red carpet fashion before we move onto the awards!

BEST DRESSED
Best Actress Nancy Wu collected her long awaited award wearing this beautiful red scupltural creation by Yolancris. Perfect makeup, perfect hair and a perfect dress, what's not to love?
Tracy Chu showed up in a champagne gold gown with an embroidered bodice. A half up half down do completed her princess getup!
Mandy Wong also goes princessy wearing a fluffy gown by Maro M Chan. One of the best look Mandy have ever sported. Her side swept updo also gets a thumbs up from me. I'm glad there was no smokey makeup this time round. Vast Improvement!
Priscilla Wong looked uber pretty wearing a red halter gown with a bare back. She hardly chooses something that's not meant for her. Love it!
Selena Li in a Kevolie gown with a fit and flare silhouette. From the illusion panels to the rose bud designed bodice and finally to the tea cup length, it all screamed Elegance. Black strappy sandals completed her glamorous look.
Best Supporting Actress, Elaine Yiu was sexily clad in a teal Kevolie gown with sheer and lace elements. A center parted do completed her unique look.
Tavia Yeung in a flattering halter gown, I love that rose shade.
Linda Chung showed up in a white gown strikingly similar to what she wore to the Starhub Awards a month back. Not impressed, as she had better princess moments.
I absolutely adore this floral dress on Jinny, simply because it reflects her bubbly and loud personality. Styling wise, Perfect!
Kristal Tin, surprisingly wore a less dramatic outfit wearing a dark printed dress.
Rosina Lam looked angelic wearing a lace gown that was too 'bridal-ish' in my opinion.
At least, she glowed beautifully.

Now, onto the awards!
Green = TOP 3          Blue = My Picks             Red = Won

My Favourite TVB Drama Series

Eye in the Sky
Ghost of Relativity
The Fixer
Every Step You Take
Lapse of Reason
Under the Veil
With or Without You

My Thoughts: I'm so glad Captain of Destiny took home the deserving award, if there is only one reason the drama won something, the credit definitely goes to Ruco solely. Let's hope the drama gets a triple win at the upcoming TVB Awards.

My Thoughts: I still can't get over the tied results, I mean over thousands of people voted online and the result is tied? Don't get me wrong, I'm genuinely happy for Nancy getting her first Best Actress award and being recognised by her efforts, but a shared award has no meaning to me. This is obviously rigged.

My Favourite TVB Most Improved Actor
Mat Yeung
Hugo Wong
Owen Cheung
Quinn Ho
Jonathan Cheung

My Thoughts: Finally Mat won something! I'm most satisfied with this result as he has came a long way. Did you know he was from the same acting class as Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung? I really hope he wins at the TVB awards.
Next would be Hugo, another solid actor. He, too is in the same acting class as Kenneth Ma and Ron Ng.

My Favourite TVB Most Improved Actress
Tracy Chu
Sisley Choi
 Grace Chan
Jacqueline Wong
Candice Chiu
Ali Li

My Thoughts: Judging by this list of nominees, yea Tracy definitely deserved the most improved award as she is natural on screen. She won the same award a month back at the Starhub award, though I guess TVB won't be giving her the third one as they might probably reserved it for Grace.
