[Fashion Critiques] 18th Shanghai International Film Festival

The annual 18th Shanghai International Film Festival kick started on the 13th of June and will end on the 21st of June. If you remember, i did the same post last year too! This time round, I put them under several categories based on my opinion. As usual, who are the red carpet winners?

BEST DRESSED

Count on Red Carpet Queen, Fan Bing Bing to make a statement. She stuns wearing a Stephane Rolland gown. This dramatic eye-opener was further enhanced by her dark makeup and center parted do. I can't find a single fault. Again, she can do no wrong.

OUT TO IMPRESS

Wang Luo Dan once again stick to her favoured monochrome palette and opted for a sleek Versace pantsuit. Love the pop of red too! She later changed into a Stephane Rolland dress with a structured fit. Hands down, i absolutely love the Versace outfit! 1 or 2?

Bea Hayden Kuo looked lovely donning a black halter Saint Laurent gown and finishing off the look with a bold red lip teamed with adorable airy bangs. A rather safe choice for the rising star. Do you love this as much as i do?

Tiffany Tang was a vision of loveliness donning a sky blue gown that strongly resembles one of Elie Saab's gown. For once, a half up half down do and pink lips completed her look. I would give the watch a skip, if I was her, it's too harsh.

Yang Mi first walked the red carpet wearing a pale pink Monqiue Lhuillier dress which was paired with those god-awful heels, this dress needed something way daintier. She later changed into a monochrome gown by Prabal Gurung. The red lips definitely contributed to the strong look. Left or Right?

Janine Chang first graced the red carpet wearing a big embellished ball gown by Georges Hobeika. She later changed into a body hugging Ermanno Scervino gown with a mermaid silhouette. I really love how coordinating Janine is, with her korean armcandy. Black or White?

Yang Zi Shan made a great entrance, swishing her way down the carpet in a canary Zuhair Murad gown with a long train that trailed behind her elegantly. I'm glad she kept the belt as it adds on! On this occasion, her hair and makeup was on point too. I'm really impressed, this is truly breath-taking.

Zi Shan changed out of her ZM canary gown and went for yet another jaw dropping look. This time courtesy of Georges Hobeika. She looked every inch a beautiful princess in a powder blue gown heavily adorned with crystals. This is a vision of pure perfection. Do you agree?

Yuan Shan Shan swished her way down the red carpet in a yellow, off the shoulder princess ball gown from Georges Hobeika. The pretty gown featuring green embroidered petals on the skirt and a skinny waist belt to cinch in her waist was styled minimally, thankfully. I'm loving it!

Wang Lin was escorted down the carpet by Aarif Lee and Ma Tian Yu. She looked classy wearing a WeCouture gown that was embroidered with yellow and purple flowers. Simply Regal!

Zhou Dong Yu looked all grown up donning a pale grey Monique Lhuillier tulle gown. She kept things simple, styling it with a side swept updo and held a sparkly clutch. The surprise is here, I love her sparkly purple heels!

Viann Zhang was fierce wearing a dark Carolina Herrera gown. Strong makeup and sleek hair completed her look. I'm surprised she actually managed to pull it off!

Ruby Lin wore a Shiatzy Chen gown kind of reminiscing those traditional cheongsam. I'm glad she kept her styling to a minimum as overstyling can ruin the overall look, but the clutch is really a tad too big. Nonetheless, she still looked amazing!

Joe Chen easily stood out in an embellished short sleeve gown that shows off her fabulous figure. Everything is near perfect, except for 2 minor errors, the watch and the clutch. I think they don't go well with the bronze theme here. Anyway, she did looked exceptionally gorgeous!

Vicki Zhao was present wearing a big ball gown by Giles. The black and frosty pink gown was gorgeous on her, hair and makeup 10 out of 10. Once again, she scored!

THE FORGETTABLE LOOKS

Miss World, Zhang Zi Lin wore a pretty simple and elegant gown from Ports and styled it in the same neutral palette. Great but forgettable.
Taiwanese Sweetheart, Sandrine Pinna nailed it in a sophisticated Saint Laurent black gown. A face framing updo topped off her black-tie perfect look.
Lynn Hung was quite coverd up, donning a Dior dress and accessorizing it with silver accents. I'm glad she finally did her hair in another way, other than the trademark curls. This is so much more comfortable than seeing her frequently in low cut gowns. Agree?

 THE MISSES
I'm really puzzled by Karena Ng's outfit. I mean, she is just 21 why dress like she is 40?
This Valentino dress does nothing for her figure and only serves to make her look extremely old.

Liu Yan once again puts her curvaceous figure on display in this minty gown with a deep plunge showcasing those twins. This is so expected, please excuse me while I yawn.
